By Frank Risper The day that I wrote this article was my daughter’s birthday. April 4th was a cold and rainy day. I’m in love with April 4th. It’s my daughter’s birthday. Yes, my little girl Anissa is 7 years old. April 4th is a great day. My first and only daughter was born after many years of waiting. I woke her early to get her and her little brother ready for school. The first thing on my mind was to wish her a “Happy Birthday”. She turned 7 years old and I remembered when she was 7 seconds old just like it was yesterday. She came out smiling and provides me with so much joy. Time seems to move very fast for me these days. The saying, “Time flies when you’re having fun” means a lot to me. Have you noticed that we some how manage to tie the years of our lives to events that occur, like birthdays? My little girl turned 7 and I’m so blessed to have had the opportunity to celebrate life with someone I love. Don’t take anything for granted. What you have doesn’t come easy and doesn’t necessarily come for all. I’m talking about children. Children are a blessing and shouldn’t be taken as anything else but. They need the love and affection of nurturing parents or relatives so that they can grow up to be productive and giving grown ups in society. So I say to my daughter, Anissa, with undying love and affection.”Happy Birthday and God willing we will do this again next year.” Remember to keep the faith, trust in God only and seek after a pure heart. God will be pleased.
